Open Positions

The Filer Police Department is seeking applicants for a vacant Police Officer position. We are accepting applications for an Entry Level and/or Lateral Level Police Officer.  The applicants must be able to obtain or hold an Idaho P.O.S.T certification or be a certifiable police officer in the State of Idaho.

 

The City of Filer offers a comprehensive benefit package including family health insurance, Health Savings Account (HSA) to help cover employee/family deductible, Delta Dental, and Vision insurance through VSP.  The City of Filer also offers retirement through PERSI and pays the employees portion of PERSI.  The City of Filer offers vacation time accumulated at 9.23 bi-weekly for a total of 240 hours per year. Sick time is accumulated at 5.54 bi-weekly and maxes out at 576 hours.  The starting pay is $24.00 an hour + DOE.
